Ovarian Cancer Researchers
Investing in research
As part of the ongoing Target Ovarian Cancer Pathfinder Study, we are mapping the ovarian cancer research landscape in the UK and conducting wide-ranging qualitative research in co-operation with the ovarian cancer research community in order to identify opportunities for making further progress towards improving survival and quality of life for the 6,800 women diagnosed each year in the UK with ovarian cancer.
Further to the launch of the Target Ovarian Cancer Pathfinder Study First Results report in June 2009, our Patron, Professor Sir Kenneth Calman (also Chair of the National Cancer Research Institute) hosted a 'meeting of minds' - bringing together UK researchers and key funders to begin to take forward ideas on mobilising new funding, and overcoming current barriers in the research field- Read more about this event.
Whatever your specialist field in ovarian cancer research, it is our aim to act as a catalyst, encouraging and enabling researchers around the UK to participate in strategically important research.
